Since 2005 we here at Coyote Coast have prided ourselves on being a dynamic, innovative and responsive community-based treatment option for teens, young adults and their families as they navigate the key transition points on their way to adulthood.  The organizing principle we employ is an emphasis on connection to both family and the broader community through relationship based activities which enhance personal responsibility, promote resiliency and foster the further acquisition of important life skills.

Our Mentors, support teens and young adults during various activities in their day-to-day lives. This provides a safe and practical environment to explore peer and family relationships, personal goals and areas of interest. We offer this support during structured activities to strengthen problem solving and life skills and to practice those skills in real time.

Mentoring Goals Include:

  • Enhancing Motivation & Clarifying Values

  • Setting Goals and Making Healthy Choices

  • Identifying & Overcoming Personal Challenges

  • Improving Self-Esteem

  • Improving Social Skills

Mentoring activities may include, but are not limited to: support toward educational and/or vocational goals; personal-challenge activities such as hiking, rock climbing, and the exploration of personal interests.

Coyote Coast Mentors will collaborate closely with existing therapeutic professionals as needed.
