Teen Support Groups
Group Therapy is an effective therapeutic modality for teens because teens are much more receptive to the influence of their peers during adolescence. Therefore, positive peer groups represent a powerful intervention that is a source of persuasion, stabilization, and support, particularly when they are working to identify personal goals and interests and/or overcome thoughts and feeling associated with anxiety and/ or depression. Group therapy at Coyote Coast fosters healthy attachments, provides positive peer reinforcement, and acts as a forum for self-expression and new social skills.
Coyote Coast is currently offering two Teen Support Groups to assist teens in managing various challenges common to adolescent life. (Ages 15-17)
