WELCOME TO COYOTE COAST
Our Inspiration
Coyote Coast, founded in 2005, has served over a thousand families across the Bay Area through trying times. We are committed to community-based mental health treatment and to the notion that with trusted support, anyone can bear what might otherwise seem unbearable.
Our services are attachment and trauma focused. We believe in treating the whole person, which involves looking beyond a problem or symptom to the underlying and interconnected physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual needs. In therapy, it becomes essential to better explore and understand an individual as a part of a broader context, including family, friendships, identity, and past experiences.
Our team has extensive experience providing support to individuals, couples, parents, and families who are at challenging crossroads. And while our first choice is always finding safety at home, sometimes, when individuals and families are facing circumstances, where out-of-home placements are deemed appropriate for stabilization, we aim to be a supportive bridge for reintegration and further healing.
"The Coyote represents the sheerly spontaneous in life, the pure creative spark that is our birthright as human beings...There is great power in such a being ...The Coyote reminds us, there is laughter amid tears and sadness tucked away in a raucous tale."
- Ray Sparks, Choctaw Nation
